About 30 minutes before the end of the stage today, a bus ran into the race banner at the finish line and got stuck. Better worded, there is a joke there. Too bad it was what actually happened today.
The first stage of Le Tour 2013 was marred by what can best be described as a giant cluster right at the end. So 3 Apothecaries and 2 Centurian Primus Medicae walk into a bar...
This was a rather productive weekend painting wise. I got all of the Apothecaries done for the Narrative Army, all the Terminators are done, and all the marines are at least base coated, with washed bolters.
As always, here's the pictures:

Mephiston Red base coat
Leadbelcher on the metals
Agrax Earthshade was on the whole thing
A coat of Evil Suns Red going up to the edges, but leaving the dark recesses
Old school Blood Red wash to tone down the super bright/almost orange Evil Suns

Primus Medicae to support the 6 speeder bikes.
Scibor's Archangel to serve as the army's Praetor.

Not so much an earth shattering thought as a link grabbing first line. But the argument is to be made that currently comic books are seeing the apex of years of forces leading us towards so many brilliant story tellers in the medium all at once.

"We need to keep our mouth shut and get back into the game" - Mack Brown, Monday Aug 29 2011
That quote from Mack's Monday press conference pretty much nails it. We have been through an off season of nothing but discussion and talk. So today I'm starting a new series of articles. My office, as you can see in the pic is in a TERRIBLE state. Sprues everywhere... Heading into Monday's rest day, Le Tour De France 2011 is led by an unlikely Frenchman, Thomas Voekler. I wrote on Saturday morning, as a I sat down to watch stage 14 that I thought we would see an overall contender in yellow by the end of the stage.
I meant someone like Contador or a Schleck or even Evans. But then, Voekler wouldn't budge. Rabscutlehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00495040398337535788noreply@blogger.com0
