So I've been tooling around with my phone again. As some of you know, I had to get an Evo right before Xmas when my Hero died. I love it.
With the release of Cyanogen 7 and the final inclusion of WiMax, I made the jump. After a lot of tinkering, here is the result:

Texas Hires
So now that they are done, now that all the positions have been filled, my thoughts...
SWEET FUCKING LORD IN HEAVEN THIS WAS AN AWESOME THREE WEEKS OF COACHING HIRES
...
Ahem... I can't believe how far the pendulum has swung in my personal excitement level for the next fall. Can't wait to see what Harsin and Major can cook up. That mad scientist lab will be awesome. The S&C coach is a walking demon, and it will be awesome to see how his impact plays out. Manny "play like 11 men who just got out of insane asylum" Diaz has me AMPed for how the defense will play. Coach Boom was great, and I wish him the best in his new Gator digs, but Diaz has me excited again about the defense. Oh, and Dr. Death coming back to Texas.
Mack has the chip back on his shoulder. He has that swagger of "You doubt me and you pay" back. I'm excited for 2011 and can't wait to see what this translates to on the field.
Coming next week: When was the last time music kicked your ass?

Welcome to the new year...
This post has been taking WAY too long. Sorry for the delay... for the three of you who read this blog.
So it looks like Texas might... maybe... perhaps... possibly have a new set of Co-Ordinators... oh wait. Or not. C'mon Mack... get it in gear. We are frothing at the mouth to get something resembling good news. Since the UCLA game, it has felt like rats running from a sinking ship around the 40 Acres. I can't wait for something good to happen... seriously.
But as my dad so perfectly: "Not like I can un-graduate."
Later... more thoughts on Warmachine and 40k coming soon... promise.

Having fun with Rokkits
Adding to the Giant Rocket theme that I used in August for WARGames Con, I'm adding some warbuggies to my Ork army. Going to make them Rokkit Launchas:
I'm using spare Rokkit packs from some Storm Boys and plasticard to make the plat forms.
Going to make 4 in total and paint them to match the rest of the army.
Thoughts?

Heroes
I
I will be king
And you
You will be queen
Though nothing will
Drive them away
We can beat them
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
And you
You can be mean
And I
I'll drink all the time
'Cause we're lovers
And that is a fact
Yes we're lovers
And that is that
Though nothing
Will keep us together
We could steal time
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
For ever and ever
What d'you say
I
I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins
Like dolphins can swim
Though nothing
Will keep us together
We can beat them
For ever and ever
Oh we can be Heroes
Just for one day
I
I will be king
And you
You will be queen
Though nothing
Will drive them away
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be us
Just for one day
I
I can remember
Standing
By the wall
And the guns
Shot above our heads
And we kissed
As though nothing could fall
And the shame
Was on the other side
Oh we can beat them
For ever and ever
Then we can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
We can be Heroes
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
We're nothing
And nothing will help us
Maybe we're lying
Then you better not stay
But we could be safer
Just for one day
Knock 'em dead sweets... you are made of steel
I will be king
And you
You will be queen
Though nothing will
Drive them away
We can beat them
Just for one day
We can be Heroes

Finally...
A win... Texas beat the tar out of FAU. Well done.
We will see what they do against eATMe.
Hook 'em!
Sorry for not much analysis, just exhausted lately.

30 October 2010
Well that happened...
Not sure what to say. I think tonight finally broke me. I saw a team play with no identity and worse, less heart. I felt it in my bones at the end of the third quarter. They missed the touchdown and then the field goal. I felt it change. Next play... bam... Bears touchdown. Then EBS bobbles and hands off an interception. And then, despite what happened afterwards, the game was over.
Here's hoping Aaron Rogers can still remember his childhood, much less ever play again. As a multi-concussion person, it is painful to see any head injury, but he went down, flopped and then didn't move for about 5 minutes. I was sure he was dead. That isn't hyperbole. I thought I saw someone die on the football field. I hope he is well and seeing him walk off the field puts the game in perspective. He is still breathing, and for that, I'm thankful.
Even still... I will always be a Texas fan. Congratulations go to a Baylor team that has a FAST offense and a defense that might be decent enough to keep them in games. Griffen is as advertised and they will go far with him. Hell, they have a shot to win the Big XII South. Good luck to Baylor.
Well, no home game next week. K-State in Manhattan. I'm not sure if I could have done three weeks in a row of this at DKR.
Until next time, sleep well Ms Rabbit, you are making me smile tonight.
